I like to take cold showers more in winter than in summer because due to the way that the ventilation of the house works, the bathroom is always really cold whenever the AC is on, and comfortably warm whenever the heat is on, so taking a cold shower in the summer and then stepping out into a cold bathroom means that there is no relief from the cold until I leave the bathroom
In magic energy follows intention. Intention can be strengthened by using tools and ritual.
One such tool is a sigil. You could build upon existing symbolism like Nordic ruins for your sigils. But I find that the strongest sigils are the ones you create yourself. They'll mean more to you that way and that's all that really matters.
This means that all a sigil really is is a symbolic representation of your intention. You place it somewhere where you can see it and the visual reminder of the meaning helps keep the magic alive.

As in, I think under the right conditions, people can know the future. Not predict, but know. They're connected to it, somehow
time travel forward is possible by moving very fast relative to the things around you, but time travel backwards would break causality, and if it was possible then we would probably already know about it
well we're connected to the future in that the future becomes the present

all time is happening at once, just like all thing on the X axis exist simultaneously. the passage of time is just an illusion because of causality. time simply appears to pass, because our means of thought works via causality, so we can only experience one instance of time at a time
